Hi hi hi!

I’ve just took a quick shot at some cards I received recently (not too recent though, a bunch of those from my job time until today – and I haven’t got time to scan them yet, and my scanner is broken *again*) and though I wasn’t really satisfied of how much postcards can fit in this picture but somehow thanks to PhotoImpact tool and some crop I’ve magically turned it into a neat image header for this blog. OK so imajicaton.wordpress.com has officially got a new header YEAH! :) I am so happy coz I didn’t make this header thing since ages, and apparently the other blog doesn’t seem to have a header.

I remember the last batch I uploaded in Flickr were shot using camera, seeing how desperately I needed to upload my postcards no matter what it takes, lol. But the result wasn’t too nice, as perhaps the camera didn’t stay perfectly perpendicular to the postcard surface, making the image angle distorted somehow. So postcardspicturewise, I still prefer a scanner to a digital camera. Anyways. Now I am waiting to have a new scanner so I can start uploading cards again!

DE-7494 sent by Moxica

My first Postcrossing postcard! Honestly this was a real surprise, since I wasn’t expecting at all (I’m not sure my understanding of this project when I signed up lol). Okay first I acquired addresses and sent 5 postcards (and in fact it took me really late to really mail the cards =_=) so I only received my first card when I almost forgot about this project I recently joined. Sigh. And shortly later I received my 2nd, and 3rd and 4th cards within a few days so it gave me a sudden determination that I really have to send out more postcards to receive more! Okay back to this card, Mainz is a very old old town home to Johannes Gutenberg, the inventor of press-printing. The Celts settled here more than 2000 years ago and now Mainz has about 200,000 inhabitants.
