I received these AWESOME cards from Smist in 2006 and may I repeat, I LOVE cards written on it in languages strange to me.. in fact I love the idea of Postcrossing not only I can get to see pictures of places faraway on postcards.. but get familiar with the languages as well! Especially the European languages, yes, which I don’t see a sight of anywhere here.. except English. So I am glad I keep postcards of them! Okay – nevermind that I don’t learn every single language in this world, but I feel smart enough when I can distiguish a text, say, in French, from German! :P (tell you, my friends here won’t manage that!) Anyway, here comes Danish! :D
“Vejen der ikke starter i hjertet ender blindt”…
“The course that does not begin in the heart ends in a blind alley”.
These cards were published by a university in Denmark to say that the education you choose should feel *right* to your heart :) Of course, it doesn’t make sense to spend years studying something you don’t feel close to your heart, no?
And another card with the same quote, only written with many different languages!! Ain’t this cool? :) But I don’t see Malay in here, hmm.. that would be more or less, “Pembelajaran yang tidak bermula dari hati akan berakhir dengan kegelapan”..
Now that my subject is language, how do you say “HAPPY POSTCARD FRIENDSHIP FRIDAY” in your language? (if it’s not English ;))
Selamat Hari Jumaat Persahabatan Poskad!! :D
