Subscribe RSS FeedBelarus is one of the countries I have least knowledge about, and to be honest I did not even know its capital until I received a card from there :P I just remember Eurovision from one year whose Belarus representative sang a very catchy song that I somehow liked to listen again and again… I won’t tell you which song it is :P Well though Belarus is still one of the rare countries in Postcrossing, surprisingly I have gotten a few from officials and tag, showing its capital Minsk.

From the sender’s handwriting at least I can guess Belarus is near Russia.. and they use Cyrillic :D Well I have come to learn from alot of postcards I received that Russians have this certain kind of handwriting when they write romans. I mean, it’s so significant just how Dutch handwriting is like, they’re like the teachers in school are teaching them to write only this style, so everyone has almost identical handwriting :) Okay so this card shows the avenue in Lenin Street with S I Grytsavets monument – he was the Hero of the Soviet Union.
